What's better, another 'how to' guide, or tapping into the experience of someone who has been there and achieved it?
Content pros, business owners, and copywriters must develop skills rooted in humanity that demonstrate massive value to potential clients in English. In this community, you'll find actionable advice on pitching, where to publish, building on social media, and, most importantly, how to land your first writing jobs.
This is the only community in the world dedicated to helping multilingual writing professionals. We come from different writing niches and language backgrounds. Most members are advanced English users. Some are employed; others are freelancers. Some are in the first years of their writing career; others are grizzled veterans.
All writers have one thing in common: we need support, guidance, and encouragement. We need a place to learn, laugh, share wins and moan about losses. And we need a place with memes — lots of memes.

I'm Philip Charter - author, editor and coach for multilingual writers. I've published five books, and my articles and guides have garnered millions of views on sites like Medium.com and LinkedIn. I'm also a HUGE fan of crisps and get mildly upset when people ask me if I play basketball (I don't, even though I'm 1.95m tall!)
Since 2018, I've worked as a writing coach. I've helped hundreds of multilingual writers book clients and secure new writing roles through training and proven advice. As well as running this community, I offer courses which help writers reach the expert level of English they need to get published and build their brand.
When I'm not working, I like hiking and watching cat videos (but not at the same time).
"I'm learning at my own pace, and enjoying networking with fellow writers. The community is widening my perspective on what it means to write for a global audience."
"I learn how other writers are thinking and doing, share thoughts on publishing, style and tone, peculiar grammar details, and a lot more, and both get and give feedback."
"Since joining the MWC, my confidence has soared. I've absorbed new techniques, grasped the subtleties of rhythm and nuance, and found a nurturing, creative space among fellow writers."
More readers, more publishing opportunities, and more income.
I get it! We all want that.
The courses I've designed will immediately help you:
- Fix language errors
- Add humor to your writing
- Persuade readers to take action
- Attract higher reach & engagement
- Write in a natural and humanistic way
- Adopt the right mindset for business success
Plus, there is a bunch of practical advice on creating shockingly good profiles, strategies for outreach, and generating salable ideas.

All writers need to keep pace with the lightning-fast industry or get left behind.
You'll get squeezed out, replaced, and ultimately will have to do something else for a living. Quite simply, writers cannot afford to stay where they are.
We must adapt and learn.
We must help each other, because together, we thrive.

"Phil is the person who can motivate you to chase writing dreams and help you achieve those dreams. I'd say Phil's a mix between Haruki Murakami and Gary Vaynerchuk."
"I’m happy to be in a group where I can benefit from the experience of those with more years under their belts. The contributions from other members have already been very inspiring."
"Phil’s community is an excellent platform, and I have already received tons of valuable resources. I hope to utilize my full potential and establish myself as an accomplished writer."
I'm a member of hundreds of free groups that I never visit. And I don't even bother to leave. Is that true for you too? This community is filled with people who have clear intention, direction and purpose. Paying helps with that. This is a high value community.
We have nearly a dozen courses, live events and a powerful network. I've designed everything to help multilingual writers like you get better opportunities and earn more. For a small investment, you'll get a lot of value.
Join us, look around, and stay if you like it.
Most of the writers in the group have an advanced lFAQevel of English. The language resources and tips are designed to help writers progress to proficiency to compete with native writers of English. If your English is B2, C1, or C1+, this group is for you.
The community forum and courses are hosted on a dedicated site and app. All you need is one login - it's all in the same place. There are no ads or distractions. If you want to escape social media and focus on a valuable community, this is the way forward. You'll be able to attend all live sessions on Zoom and watch the replays in the dedicated app.
Yes! I answer questions in the group and host live Q&As and workshops. Members will also get exclusive discounts for future courses.
The price you pay is locked in forever, as long as you don't cancel your subscription. There are no tiers to the membership, but the price may rise for new signups due to new features and courses.
For the annual subscriptions I offer a 7-day free trial. This is even better than a money-back guarantee. I'm so sure you'll love it here, you can leave without paying for the week. All members can manage their subscription in the app or email phil@englishwritingcoach.uk to cancel.
Monthly subscribers must cancel at least one day before their renewal payment is due. After unsubscribing, access to the forum, courses and workshops will be revoked.
If you choose to resubscribe later, you'll have to do this at the current rate.
If you purchase a yearly or lifetime subscription, I will provide an invoice with all the necessary information for you to claim this as a tax-deductible expense (professional development). I do not provide invoices for monthly subscriptions.
I know writers have busy schedules. I do too!
Of course, it is important to 'make' time every week for professional development.
The Multilingual Writers' Community has been created in a way that is suitable for even the busiest of writers. Here's what you can expect (based on your time).
15 mins per week - Keep in touch with your writing buddies. Catch the latest news, get quick insights and access new writing opportunities.
45 mins per week -
90 mins per week -
Content and materials are available whenever you can make time and there are replays available for all workshops and events. I recommend spending one hour a week as a minimum for learning and networking in the group.
Absolutely. I want writers to share their latest articles and publishing successes. If you want to alert others to job openings or offer clients to other writers because you are too busy, great! I ask that members do not promote commercial services in the group or solicit others to DM them.
We are a community from all over the world which means we have different time options of different events to suit your time and location. If you are unable to make any of the live sessions, all of the events and materials are added to your members area. You’ll be able to access the content and materials at any time of day.
This is a private group, and I take data protection seriously. I will never sell your data to others, and as a paid subscriber, you'll experience the community ad free. You'll be added to my mailing list (but you can opt out anytime).
If you'd like to chat, I'll be happy to fill in all the details so you can make the most of the experience.
